The advantages of filling up your tyres with nitrogen
Today we will discuss filling up your tyres with nitrogen. It does not only have advantages during regular driving, but also during racing and drifting.
For people that use the car regularly nitrogen has one advantage. The advantage is that the monecules are bigger. As the monecules are bigger, they can not escape as easily and therefore the tyre will deflate less easily. This means less maintenance and that is always better for the average driver.
There are also examples for using nitrogen during racing and drifting. As usually the air is not that pure, the pressure is not constant during driving. Because of this, your tyre can react different when racing. Nitrogen is much purer than air it will be more stable than air. This means that the when you fill up your tyres with nitrogen you will have a much more stable tyre pressure. Also this means that you can drift longer without being afraid that your tyres will pop.
You can see when your car has nitrogen in the tyres by looking at the colored valvecap. In holland they are green, but in other countries they are red or blue for example. The best way to fill up your car's tyre with nitrogen is to use a wheel with double valves. This way you can release the air when filling up your tyre with nitrogen. If you just have a single valve then you should pump your tyre to a too high pressure and then open the valve to release a bit of air. This way you will only get rid of mostly the oxigen. If you fill it up again then you will have mostly nitrogen in your tyres. This way it is a lot more effective than just filling up your tyres once.
