How to create more steering angle

When investing in your drift car, it is always a good idea to increase your steering wheel lock. Its a relatively cheap mod, which is worth the trouble. Today we will discuss several ways to do so.

How do steering rack spacers work? It's pretty easy really, when installing steering rack spacers you mount them between your tie rods and steering rack. Therefore you will have a bit more play before the tie rod hits the rack. However, this way you will have more toe in or toe out depending on your suspension geometry. Therefore you have to cut off a piece of the tie rod so your wheels are pointed towards the right direction again.

First of all we will discuss the steering rack spacer. As the name suspects, this is nothing more than a spacer and you can find them for your car for less than 10 dollars. In case you know the exact size you can also just buy some spacers at home depot and call it a day. You can also add multiple spacers after each other to create a super extreme steering wheel angle (if that is your thing). Just make sure there is enough thread left
Of you have more money to spend you can buy adjustable rod ends or knuckles. These might be pricey, but it is never a bad idea to replace supsension parts. The effect of the adjustable rod ends are the same as cutting the oem ones though. Buying adjustable knuckles will make sure you will not hit any other suspension part while having an extreme lock.
