How to do backwards entries.

We have showed you some backwards entries a few days ago. We have asked one of our Japanese contacts to give us some tips regarding these backwards entries. We will discuss these today.

First of all it is funny to know that a backwards entry in Japan is called a 'rear explosion' or an 'ass first', you can say what you want, but those Japs are sure creative when it comes to naming stuff.
In short, it works like this. A backwards entry can best be done on the staight before a corner or in a sweeper. The first thing you should do is to bring the car up to speed. (you need to go faster than 130kph) before throwing the car sideways with maximum lock. Because you are going this fast you can go backwards without spinning the car. You have to keep going full trottle while making the entry. For a maximum effect you can throw the car backwards before a hairpin at exactly the right degree. Because of this you can drift throught the hair pin at once.

A few mods you can better have to make your car go backwards:
Modified knuckles with steering spacers to get more lock.
A lot of camber up front, so you will have more grip during the entry.
Disconnect the front and back swaybar so you will feel the tyres more when going sideways.
Personally he drives 255 tyres in the back and 205 up front. He added that you have to go for the cheapest, as all tyres will wear out quickly when going backwards.
